Bay City Man Dies After Fall From Power Boat
Body Recovered After Tragedy; Was Fishing Near Mare Island at Time of Accident
SAN FRANCISCO, Mar. 15.—Dr. Leroy M. Allum, head of the Standard Chiropractic College, fell from a deck chair on a power boat into San Pablo Bay near Mare Island yesterday and was dead when his body was recovered. He was on a fishing expedition with friends, including Attorney Alexander Mooslin; Dr. C. J. Miller, 302 Guerrero Street; Dr. W. Edward Glaesar, 196 Geary Street, owner and operator of the boat, and Frank Crutti, 338 Guerrero Street.
The accident occurred in the bay a few miles from McNear's Point. The body was brought to the point and Deputy Coroner Harry Williams notified.
Dr. Allum lived at 1145 Polk Street. He was 59.
