The marriage of Miss Frances Marie Lesher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy A. Lesher, 30 Summit St., Elizabethtown, and Robert M. Ambrose, of 406 Glennwood Road, Ambridge, took place June 2, at 2:30 p.m. in the Christ Evangelical and Reformed Church of Elizabethtown with the Rev. A. N. Sayers D. D. officiating at the double ring ceremony.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a white gown with embroidered satin bodice, and full skirt of net which terminated in a long train. Her fingertip length veil was lace trimmed, arched to a coronet of seed pearls and bugle beads, she carried a colonial bridal bouquet.
Miss Joyce Lesher, sister of the bride, was maid of honor, wore a gown of pink lace, net, and satin, with a matching tiara, she carried a colonial bouquet of mixed flowers.
Richard Ambrose of Ambridge, served his brother as best man. Robert Lesher, brother of the bride and Frank Ambrose, brother of the bridegroom served as ushers. Dr. David Schlosser, organist, played the wedding music, and Mrs. George Weigle was soloist.
Mrs. Lesher, mother of the bride, wore a rose crepe dress with white accessories and a corsage of white carnations. Mrs. Ambrose, mother of the bridegroom, wore aqua with white accessories and a corsage of white carnations. A reception for the guests was held in the Church dining room. After a wedding trip of a week at New York City, the couple will reside at the home of the bridegroom.

Frances Ambrose, 63, of Glenwood Avenue, Ambridge, died Friday, Dec. 30, 1983, in Sewickley Valley Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Born June 28, 1920, in Millersburg, Pa., daughter of Marie Lesher, Elizabethtown, Pa., and the late Roy Lesher, she was a member of the Ambridge United Presbyterian Church.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband, Robert; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Cannon, Houston, Texas; two brothers, Robert Lesher, Shreveport, La., and Gaion Lesher, Red Lion, Pa., and a sister, Mrs. Edwin (Joyce) Sharples, Wormleysburg, Pa.
Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., in the John E. Matter Funeral Home, 1133 Church St., Ambridge, where a service will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. by her pastor, Rev. Dr. Walter Radulovich.
Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Daugherty Township.
