DAVID AMBROSE

David Ambrose, former resident of this city, died Friday morning at the family home in Ambridge, Pa. Besides his widow he is survived by three sons, two daughters, Miss Gertrude Ambrose and Mrs. Pauline Spaulding, both of this city; a brother Joseph Ambrose, and sisters, Mrs. T. R. Hildrich, Mrs. James G. Welch and Miss Kathryn Ambrose, of this city.

Funeral services were held at the home at Ambridge this afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial was in the Ambridge cemetery.

Effie Ambrose

Effie Ambrose, 97, of 406 Glenwood Drive, Ambridge, died Thursday, April 22, 1982, in the Beaver Valley Geriatric Center.

Born Sept. 27, 1884, in Bradford, she had lived in Ambridge since 1912, and was the daughter of the late Bird and Alice Ritts Shriver.

She was a member of the Ambridge United Presbyterian Church and Order of Eastenr Star Chapter 191, Ambridge.

Her husband, David, died in 1925.

Surviving are three sons, Frank, Columbiana, Ohio; Richard D., Hopewell Township, and Robert, Ambridge; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a brother. William P. Shriver, Brentwood, and a sister, Frances R. Shriver, Ambridge.

Friends will be received Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the John E. Matter Funeral Home, 1133 Church St., Ambridge, where a service will be conducted Monday at 1 p.m. by her pastor, the Rev. Walter Radulovich.

Interment will take place in Economy Cemetery.
