He married JUANITA BELL HOLSINGER on October 13, 1938 in LaGrange County, Indiana.¹⁶⁷⁵ She was born July 24, 1920 in Constantine, St. Joseph, Michigan,¹⁶⁷⁵ and died December 9, 1989 in Valparaiso, Porter, Indiana.⁴⁹³¹

Injured When Train Hits Taxi.

LaGRANGE, Ind., March 13 — Mrs. Parson D. Ballou and son Billy, aged five years, were painfully injured in Kalamazoo this week when they taxi cab in which they were riding was struck by a passenger train on a Michigan central crossing. Mrs. Ballou was badly bruised and Billy's face was cut by the broken glass. Several other passengers were injured. Mrs. Ballou and son had gone to Kalamazoo to visit the former's daughter, Mrs. William H. Vanderbilt.

LAGRANGE — Graveside services for William D. Ballou, 55, of Kalamazoo, formerly of here, who died at 1:45 a.m. today in Borgess Hospital, Kalamazoo, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Greenwood Cemetery, Lagrange. Mr. Ballou had been ill for several months. He was born on April 2, 1915, in Lagrange. He is survived by a daughter and a sister. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Lagrange. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday in the Frurip Funeral Home, Lagrange.
