BEAL—Services for Philip Kemper Beal will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Third Ward at South 50th and A streets, with Bishop Calvin D. Hansen officiating. Burial in Mountain View Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers: Joe Clark Sr., Bryce Pollard, Clyde Rushton, Wilford Lawler, Grant Newell and Bishop Alvin L. Morris. Active pallbearers will be fellow workers from the Hooker Chemical Co., under the direction of the C. C. Mellinger Funeral Home.

Helen Katherine Schultz Beal, 96, passed away Jan. 17, 2007, at Highlands Center, Tacoma, Wash.
Helen was born Aug. 8, 1910, at Fort Rice, Morton County, the daughter of Fred Schultz and Mary Weigel. She later lived with her grandparents, Mathias Weigel and Maria Zinnel Weigel in St. Anthony, where she attended school. At the age of 18, she moved to Tacoma. On June 21, 1930, she married Philip Kemper Beal at Bismarck. Helen and Philip Beal made their home in Tacoma, where Philip was employed by Hooker Chemical Company.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Philip, who passed away on Nov. 22, 1962. While in Tacoma, she worked for Tobby Jones Retirement Home and did volunteer work at Puget Sound Hospital. Helen continued to live and work in the Tacoma area until 1979, when she retired and moved to Toledo, Wash., to be near her son, David Beal.
For Helen, her life in Toledo was peaceful and full of joy. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Toledo Garden Club and the Senior Citizens Center.
Helen is survived by two sons and their wives, Clayton and Sharron "Sally" Beal, Ogden, Utah, and David and Freda Beal, Toledo, Wash. She leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
A private family graveside service was held under the direction of Mountain View Funeral Home, Lakewood, Wash. Helen was laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Philip K. Beal, at Mountain View Memorial Park on Jan. 20, 2007.
