Miss Jane Scott Becomes Bride of Stuart Beebe, Jr.

One of the lovely weddings of the early fall was that of Miss Jane Scott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Scott of near New Paris, Ohio, and Stuart Beebe, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Beebe of South Sixteenth street, which took place Saturday afternoon at the home of the bride's parents.

The ceremony, performed by Dr. Ralph Hickok, president of Western college for Women, Oxford, Ohio, took place in the living room of the residence before an altar banked with ferns and white gladioli and lighted by tall white cathedral tapers. The single ring service was used and the bride was given in marriage by her father.

A program of bidal music was played, preceding the ceremony, by Miss Ruth Peltz, of Richmond, pianist.

The wedding party included Miss Miriam Bahr, of Marion, Ind., maid of honor; Miss Suzanne Mcguire, of this city, cousin of the bride as bridesmaid and Charles Lontz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lontz, best man.

The bride wore a lovely gown of gardenia white lace, floor length and fashioned on simple fitted lines over a slip of ivory satin. She wore a Juliet cap of matching lace, caught to her head with clusters of orange blossoms and worn with a short circular veil of white tulle. Her flowers were a shower bouquet of lilies of the valley and gardenias.

Miss Bahr wore a taffeta gown of water lily green, floor length with high Patou neck and full puffed sleeves. She carried an arm bouquet of pink gladioli.

Miss McGuire wore a gown of candy pink taffeta and carried an arm bouquet of deep rose gladioli.

Following the ceremony a reception was held for members of the wedding party, the immediate families and intimate friends.

Mrs. Beebe is a graduate of Western College and Mr. Beebe was graduated from Culver Military academy and will be a member of the 1934 graduating class of the Philadelphia Textile school, Philadelphia, Pa.

Following a trip through the east Mr. and Mrs. Beebe will be at home in Philadelphia the latter part of the month. Mrs. Beebe traveled in a suit of black and white wool, worn with black accessories.

The bride is the niece of Mr. and Mrs. Charles McGuire of Reeveston.
