Edna l. Bement, Harold Strobel Recite Nuptials

Miss Edna L. Bement, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Bement, South Minnesota Rd., was married to Harold C. Strobel, son of John Strobel, Eureka, at 3 p.m. Sunday in the First Congregational Church. Dr. Charles Gerlinger performed the ceremony before 200 guests.

The church was decorated with bridal wreath, snowballs, iris and lighted candles.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a dress of white faille with a satin appliqued net yoke, bottom detail down the back, long sleeves and full skirt en train. She carried red roses, white lilies, and lilies-of-the-valley.

Miss Doris Hill, Harrisburg, was maid of honor and wore a blue frosted organdy dress and carried painted daisies. Miss Ardelle Strobel, Eureka, was bridesmaid and wore yellow frosted organdy.

Herbert Lindle, Eureka, was best man. Ushers were Elton Bertsch, Richard Eis, Evanston, Ill., Fred Bement and Jack Koenig, Colome. Miss Jeanette Nielson, Yankton, played the violin and Mrs. Richard Eis, sister of the bride, was soloist.

A reception was held in the church dining room. Circle No. 9 was hostess with Mrs. C. W. Portz as chairman. Spring flowers decorated the tables.

The bride is a graduate of Harrisburg High School and Yankton College. The bridegroom was graduated from Eureka High School and Yankton College.

For their trip to the Black Hills, the bride wore a mint blue suit. After June 10, Mr. and Mrs. Strobel will reside at the H. H. Bement home for the summer.

Mrs. Harold Strobel

MINNEAPOLIS—A memorial and committal service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sioux Falls for Mrs. Harold Strobel, 41, Minneapolis, who died Wednesday in a Minneapolis hospital.

A memorial service is being held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Minneapolis at the Linden Hills Congregational United Church of Christ.

Edna Lois Bement was born Dec. 16, 1930, in Sioux Falls. She grew up near Sioux Falls and graduated from Harrisburg High School and Yankton College. On June 1, 1952, she was married to Harold C. Strobel of Eureka. Following her marriage she taught elementary school at Watertown and Roscoe, S.D., and Lincoln and North Platte, Neb. The couple had lived in Minneapolis since 1959. Mrs. Strobel had been ill with Hodgkin's disease for the past six years.

Survivors include her widower; two daughters, Susan and Sharon, both at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Bement, Sioux Falls; a sister, Mrs. Richard Eis, Hubbard, Iowa, a brother, Fred Bement, Vinton, Iowa, and a grandfather, Oscar H. Jacobson, Sioux Falls.
