GEORGE A. BENTZEL

George A. Bentzel, 79, a director of the Spring Grove National bank, died after a brief illness yesterday at 4:30 p. m. at his home, Thomasville R. D. 1. Mr. Bentzel, a son of the late Felix and Lydia Bowersox Bentzel of Jackson township, was a member of Trinity (Roth's) Reformed church and was affiliated with the Lincoln Fire Company, Thomasville. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ada Bentzel, two sons, Sterling M. and Lester J. Bentzel, both of Thomasville R. D., and three grandchildren, Gertrude A. Bentzel, Philadelphia; George E. and Dean L. Bentzel, both of Thomasville R. D. 1. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p. m. in the Trinity church, the Rev. J. Keller Brantley, the pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Sauter Funeral home, Spring Grove, tomorrow evening, and at the church Thursday from 1 to 2 p. m.

BENTZEL—On Sept. 15, 1970, at 3:40 p.m. at Rest Haven-York Convalescent home, Ida Bentzel, Thomasville RD 1, widow of George A. Bentzel, aged 93 years, 11 months, 13 days.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Friday, Sept. 18, at 2 p.m. at Trinity (Roth's) United Church of Christ, Jackson township. Interment in adjoining cemtery.

No viewing Thursday evening. The body will lie in state at the church Friday from 1 p.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Trinity church organ fund.
