Summer Lakes Resident Is Bride in Sioux City

Arnolds Park, June 13 — Miss Mary Ann Davidson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Davidson, of Sioux City and Echo Bay, was united in marriage to Sandy Bergeson of Sioux City on May 22 at a noon wedding in the St. Thomas Episcopal Church at Sioux City.

Following the ceremony a reception and buffet luncheon was held at the home of her uncle, Herman Davidson. Mr. and Mrs. Bergeson then left for San Francisco where he reported for duty with the navy. The bride will reside in San Francisco while he is aboard ship at sea.

Ann D. Bergeson

Ann D. Bergeson, 70, of Newport, R.I., formerly of Sioux City, died Saturday, May 20, 2000.

Mrs. Bergeson was the daughter of Lawrence L. and Mary (Kirk) Davidson. She graduated from The Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr, Penn., and Barmore School in Manhattan, N.Y.

She married Milo Scott Bergeson. She was a former Sioux City resident and was living in Newport.

Survivors include her husband; a son, David Bergeson of Alpharetta, Ga.; a daughter, Kim Morton of Riverside, Conn.; a brother, Dr. David K. Davidson of Bethesda, Md.; and three grandchildren.

Milo "Sandy" Bergeson

Milo Scott "Sandy" Bergeson, 77, of Stamford, the father of a Riverside resident, died March 13 at Edgehill in Stamford. He was born on Nov. 8, 1928 in Sioux City, Iowa. He was a former resident of Atherton, Calif., San Francisco and Newport, R.I., prior to relocating to Stamford in 2000. Bergeson graduated from the State University of Iowa and from the Officers Candidate School at the Naval War College in Newport.

He was a Naval Reserve officer, serving in Korea and Japan during the Korean War. He had a career in bond sales with several companies, including H.E. Work and Co., Glore Forgan, L.F. Rothschild and Co. and the Crocker Bank. In 1971, following his entrepreneurial spirit, Bergeson started The Dolphin Antiques, with a showroom in San Francisco.

He became president of the Antiques Dealers Association of California and was a member of several yacht clubs. He is survived by a son, David Bergeson of Alpharetta, Ga.; a daughter, Kimberly Horton of Riverside; and three grandchildren. His wife, Ann Davidson Bergeson, predeceased him in 2000. Private funeral services are being arranged by the Castiglione Funeral Home.
