Woman, 75, Dies in Collision

A 75-year-old Alexandria woman has died in a two-car collision on an Alexandria city street, according to state police. She was identified as Mary Bibb Brewer. State police said she died at the scene of the accident about 7:15 p.m. Saturday.

Ms. Brewer's death raised the Virginia highway fatality count for the year to 27, or six more than on this date last year.
