Heart Ailment Proves Fatal To G. W. Brimhall

George W. Brimhall, 73, died Wednesday at his home, 692 N. 3rd E., Provo, from a coronary heart ailment.

Services will be in the Berg Drawing Room Chapel at 12 noon, Saturday, Bishop C. Nello Westover, bishop of Manavu ward, of which Mr. Brimhall was a member, will officiate. Friends may call at the mortuary from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and before the rites Saturday. Buril will ba at the Provo City Cemetery.

Mr. Brimhall had been ill for some time but his illness became acute Sunday.

He was born in Spanish Fork on Oct. 25, 1879, the son of the late George H. Brimhall and Alsina Wilkins Brimhall. He attended school at Spanish Fork and Brigham Young University, where his father was a president.

In 1900, he moved to Raymond, Alta., Canada, where he was associated with the Knight-Brimhall Ranch Company. There he met Hattie Woolf, marrying her on March 12, 1902. The ceremony was later solemnized at the LDS temple in Salt Lake City.

The Brimhalls lived in Raymond until 1909, with three of their five children being born there. They came to Provo in 1909 but he was called on a mission to the eastern states that same year. He worked in New York and Boston before returning to Silver City where he was employed with the Knight Mining company.

He was active with the Silver City Ward, being ward clerk and later being on the high council of the Tintic Stake. Since returning to Provo to live, he has been active in Manavu Ward as a teacher and a member of the High Priest Quorum.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Wells L. Brimhall.

Survivors besides his widow are two sons, George M. Brimhall, Richland, Wash., and A. DeVoe Brimhall, Pocatello, Ida.; three daughters, Mrs. Pearson H. (Gladys) Corbett, St. George, Mrs. Byron J. (Helen) Brown, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Mark S. (Barbara) Howe, Provo; 13 grandchildren; six brothers, and five sisters. Brothers are Mark H. Brimhall of Provo, Dean R. Brimhall of Salt Lake City, Burns R. Brimhall of Baxter, Golden H. Brimhall of Ogden and Areo Brimhall of Provo. Sisters are Mrs. J. W. Knight and mrs. Eugene Crandall of Provo and Mrs. L. H. Holbrook, Mrs. Julian Cummings and Mrs. Thomas E. McKay of Salt Lake City.

Rites Monday For Former Provo Lady

SALT LAKE CITY — Funeral services for Hattie Woolf Brimhall, 83, Salt Lake City, a former Provo resident, will be Monday at noon in the Holbrook Funeral Chapel, 3251 E. 2300 E., Salt Lake City. She died Friday at her residence.

She was born July 25, 1883, in Hyde Park, Cache County, a daughter of Martin and Roseltha

Hyde Woolf. She was married to George W. Brimhall, March 12, 1902, in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. Their marriage was later solomnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple in 1907. He died in 1954.

She moved to Cardston, Canada, at the age of 16. Following her marriage they made their home in Raymond, Alberta, Canada. They moved to Provo in 1910, and in 1912 they moved to Tintic, locating at Silver City. In 1921 they moved back to Provo, and in 1960 she moved to Salt Lake City where she made her home with her daughter.

She was a member of the Manavu LDS Ward in Provo, where she had been an active worker in the Relief Sociaty and MIA>

Survivors include on son, DeVoe Brimhall, Pocatello, Ida.; three daughters, Mrs. Gladys Corbett and Mrs. Byron (Helen) Brown, both of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Mark (Barbara) Howe of Pittsburg, Pa., 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers and one sister, Fera Woolf, Richmond, Calif.; Kenneth Woolf of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Roseltha Eldredge of Seattle, Wash.

Friends may call at the Holbrook Funeral Chapel this evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday prior to services.

Burial will be in the Provo City Cemetery.
