Gladys B. Corbett

SALT LAKE CITY — Funeral services for Gladys Brimhall Corbett, 71, of 3612 MacIntosh Lane, Salt Lake City, who died Monday after a long illness in a Salt Lake City nursing home, will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Rosecrest Ward Chapel, 3101 S. 2300 E.

Mrs. Corbett had lived in Provo for several years.

She was born Nov. 2, 1902 in Raymond, Alta., Canada, to George Washington and Harriet Woolf Brimhall. She married Pearson Harris Corbett on June 2, 1926 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and he died Aug. 21, 1964.

For many years she had lived in St. George, where she taught seminary and was president of stake and ward YWMIA.

Survivors include one son and two daughters, Pearson Starr Corbett, Alamosa, Colo.; Mrs. Clayne (Connie Joy) Ricks and Mrs. Paul (Cecilia Ann) Rich, both of Salt Lake City; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother and two sisters, Devoe Brimhall, Pocatello, Ida.; Mrs. Byron J. (Helen) Brown, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Mark (Barbara) Howe, Pittsburgh, Pa.

Firends may call at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 S. 2300 E., tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock and at the chapel Wednesday one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Provo City Cemetery.
