Earl J. Warrenburg

MONTROSE — Earl J. Warrenburg, 72, died Saturday in his home east of Montrose, following an apparent heart attack. He had lived in the Montrose area for37 years.

Mr. Warrenburg had been yard foreman at Montrose Lumber Co., Foster Lumber Co., and Independent Lumber Co. At the time of his death he was employed by Uncompahgre Water Users of Montrose.

A native of Centralia, Kans., he was born Jan. 11, 1898. He spent his childhood in Centralia, graduated from high school there and taught school there for a while.

He moved to Grand Junction in 1928 and five years later came to Montrose. He was married to Harriett E. Carkhuff at Delta on June 11, 1952.

His wife survives as do a stepson, Richard L. Cairns of Culver City, Calif.; a half brother; and four sisters.

Mr. Warrenburg was a past member of IOOF Lodge in Kansas.
