At 12 o'clock noon on Saturday, February 24th, at the home of the bride's parents in this city, occurred the marriage of Miss Beryl Elizabeth Samelson to Arthur Raymond Carlson, Rev. Martin Hyink, of the Presbyterian Church, officiating. Both young people are well and favorable known in this city, the bride who is the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Samelson, having grown to womanhood here while the groom has made his home in Lemmon for the past two years. Mr. Carlson came here from Mankato, Minn., and is now a clerk at the local post office. The young couple have rented a flat in the Marcus theatre building and are now at home to their many friends. The Herald wishes them a joyful and prosperous married life.

Beryl E. Carlson

CASPER — Services for Beryl E. Carlson, 86, will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Pastor David Boehnke officiating.

Mrs. Carlson died Dec. 25, 1986 at Shepherd of the Valley Care Center following a short illness. She was born May 22, 1900 in Ipswich, S.D. to John and Lorain (Sylvester) Samuelson.

She married A. Ray Carlson in Lemmon, S.D. in February 1917 and they came to Wyoming in 1918 where her husband was employed by the Midwest Oil Companies. They lived in the Grass Creek and Salt Creek Oil Fields.

They came to Casper from Midwest in 1929. Mrs. Carlson was very active as a nurse's aid during World War II and the polio epidemic. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two sons, Warren R. Carlson of Casper and John R. Carlson of Santa Cruz, California; four grandchildren, Don Carlson and Elizabeth Moore, both of Casper, Gail Scott of Renton, Wash. and Richard Carlson of Pamona, Calif.; one sister, Ione Grisinger of Lincoln, Neb.; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974; two sons, Norman and Raymond; and one sister.

Flowers or memorials to Trinity Lutheran Church, Meals on Wheels of Shepherd of the Valley Care Center, would be equally appreciated.

Burial will be in the family plot in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at Memorial Chapel all day Sunday and until noon on Monday after which time the casket will be closed.
