Miss Kinison's Marriage Told
Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Walters, 1221 Wilshire, announce the marriage of their granddaughter, Miss Betty Lou Kinison, to Kenneth D. Chilcote, Edmond. The ceremony took place April 10 in the Immanuel Baptist church.
The bride chose a blue suit with white accessories and a corsage of gardenias. Her sister, Mrs. Oliver Boyd, served as matron of honor. Charles Mayfield was best man.
The wedding party attended a supper which preceded the ceremony. It took place in the Boyd home, 1321 Wilshire.
Mr. Chilcote was discharged recently after service in the air forces, and plans to enter Oklahoma A&M college, Stillwater.

Betty Lou (Kinison) Chilcote
Betty Lou Chilcote (Kinison) was born on May 29th, 1925 in Wichita, Kansas. Her parents moved their family to northwest Oklahoma City, "The Village," where she grew up. Betty and Kenneth Chilcote were married in 1946 and were faithfully devoted to each other for 63 years until his death on April 22nd, 2009.
Betty and Kenneth welcomed three daughters and two sons to the family, and ultimately moved from the Village to Yukon, in which they made their forever home. She raised her five children, and a few spares along the way, and cherished her friends and relatives.
Driving a school bus for Yukon Public Schools for 20 years, Betty met many friends both young and old. When she retired, she would meet up with her bus driver friends for their bi-weekly "coffee clatch" at McDonald's. She loved to read and was well known by all the "library ladies" at Mabel C. Fry Library. Seeking adventure, many trips and journeys were taken to multiple states and countries with family and friends. Betty was fascinated with animals. She would sit and watch for them, and feed a variety of birds, opossums, raccoons and even skunks. She also rescued many cats from dire circumstances, making them a part of her home. Her family, friends, and community will miss Betty and the memories they all made together.
Betty Lou Chilcote was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth, sons Steven and Kevin, parents Julia Faye and Cotton Dannenberg, and sister Carolyn Boyd. Those who wait to see her again include her daughters Paula and husband Richard Murray, Carol and husband Randy Watson, and Gwen Chilcote; grandchildren Mark and wife Shannon Murray, Stacy and husband Kevin DeMunbrun, Marty Chilcote, Dylan Watson, and Neil Watson; great-grandchildren Blake Murray, Connor Murray, Brianna DeMunbrun, Colton DeMunbrun, and Collin DeMunbrun; nephews Ed and wife Laquetta Karch, Jerry Boyd, and Chris Boyd; and nieces Terry Karch, Becky McKeown, and Shaun Meyer.
The family wishes to give special thanks to Betty's friend Sharon Riddell and caregiver Chrystal Moore. Donations may be made to the Mabel C. Fry Public Library in Betty's honor.10116
