Word reached Sioux Falls Friday evening of the death Friday afternoon at Colton of Mrs. W. O. Colton. The lady was one of the old residents of the county and had a large acquaintance.

Ellen Sylvester Colton died at her home near Colton, S.D. on the 6th inst. Deceased lived with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Amos Sylvester, of the town of Sylvester, from infancy till she was married to W. Colton in 1880, going west with her husband the same spring. She leaves the husband and three sisters and one brother besides many other friends and relatives. She was in her 44th year.
