Private Charles Jerome Cook, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Cook, 1749 West Poplar street, U. S. Army, will take as his bride Austrian-born Miss Elfriede Josephine Marie Kreuzspiegel, Vienna, Austria, tomorrow.
Miss Kreuzspiegel, who arrived in this country Dec. 21, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kreuzspiegel, Vienna. The wedding will take place in Union Lutheran church tomorrow evening at 7 o'clock with the Rev. Dr. Clarence W. Rhoda officiating.
Following a short wedding trip Private Cook will return to Battle Creek, Mich., where he is awaiting reassignment as part of his three-year enlistment.
The couple first met in Austria in the summer of 1946, and Private Cook remained in Vienna until October, 1947 when he was transferred to the States, arriving here in November. Miss Kreuzspiegel arrived Sunday aboard the U. S. S. Marine Falcon and was met in New York by Private Cook.

Charles J. Cook, 67, of Phoenix, a retired dispatcher for Luke Air Force Base, died Aug. 12, 1996. He was born in York, Pa., and was a World War II Army veteran. Survivors include his wife, Linda J.; sons, Kevin, Kenny and Greg; sister, Fran Burns; brothers, Art, Robert and Joe; and one grandchild. Services: 7 p.m. Monday, 4442 N. 62nd Ave., Sunwest Funeral Home, El Mirage.
