Miss Margaret Alice Phillips and Charles Francis Corya will be married Aug. 3 in the Chapel of Memories of the Broadway Methodist Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Everett G. Phillips of Plainfield are parents of the bride-to-be. She attended Indiana University Downtown Center.
Her fiance attended Purdue University Extention. He is the son of Fred Corya, 7373 Westfield Boulevard, and the late Mrs. Corya.

The Chapel of Memories of the Broadway Methodist Church was the setting for yesterday's marriage of Miss Margaret Alice Phillips and Charles Francis Corya.
Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. Everett G. Phillips of Plainfield. The bridegroom is the son of Fred Corya, 7373 Westfield Boulevard, and the late Mrs. Corya.
A lace gown was worn by the bride. the tiered skirt ended in a chapel train.
Her veil was secured to a pearl crown. She carried orchids and stephanotis on the white Bible.

Charles Francis Corya, 75, of Mooresville, died from natural causes March 4, 1997, at Northwest Manor Health Care Center in Indianapolis.
The former Broad Ripple resident had lived at the care center for three years.
Born May 14, 1921, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Fred and Mildred Scott Wise Corya Sr. He married Margaret Alice Phillips, who survives.
He was employed as a mechanical draftsman for 25 years. He retired in 1983.
He was a member of the Broadway United Methodist Church, 50-year member of the Broad Ripple Masonic Lodge 643, the Murat Shrine, the Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite, Trinity COmmandry, Broad Ripple American Legion, Unaffiliated "O" Gaugers, NMRA, Model Railroad Club and Mural Railroad Club.
He had also been a volunteer firefighter 35 years with the Wayne Township Volunteer Fire Department 9.
He was a World War II Army veteran.
Another survivor is a brother, Fred Corya Jr. of Sun City, Ariz.
His service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel in Mooresville. The Rev. Frank Sablan will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Plainfield.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral chapel.
