HAROLD KEITH CRANNEY

OAKLEY — Harold Keith Cranney, 76, Oakley, died Sunday, May 15, 1994, at Cassia Memorial Hospital.

He was born June 25, 1917, at Oakley, the son of Keith and Sarah Briggs Cranney. He received his education at Oakley, where he resided throughout his life.

He married Kerma McBride on May 28, 1937, in Pocatello. The marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple in 1967. Mr. Cranney had farmed and lived in the Marion area until 1965 when he and his wife moved to the Cottonwood Ranch where he resided until his retirement.

He was a member of the LDS Church, the Cassia County Posse, and had served as director for the Oakley Vigilantes.

Survivors include his wife of Oakley; two sons, K. Cranney and Kim Cranney, both of Oakley; two sisters, Margene Anderson of Bellevue, Wash., and Hattie Price of Salt Lake City; and 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preced in death by his parents and a granddaughter.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 19, at the Oakley LDS Stake Center with Bishop's Counselor Bill Cranney officiating. Burial will be in Marion Cemetery.

Friends may call at Payne Mortuary, 221 W. Main, Burley, from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, and at the church from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral Thursday.4080
