Bridal Vows Exchanged in Oratorio
The marriage of Miss Virginia DeAcres, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hazzelle DeAcres of S. Plymouth Blvd. to Beverly Elmer Fisher, son of Mrs. Elmer James Fisher of Berkeley, took place yesterday evening in the Chapman Park Pueblo Oratorio. Dr. Willsie Martin performed the ceremony.
The bride wore a gown of ivory velvet, a full-length veil of ivory tulle held in place with a cap of ivory velvet and orange blossoms. Her bouquet was lilies of the valley, bouvardia and butterfly orchids. The maid of honor, Miss Rowena Crawford of Piedmont, wore a gold rose quilted taffeta and carried talisman roses.
Alvin Ayers of Riverside served as best man, while ushers were Gregg Turner, cousin of the bridegroom, and William Fisher.
A reception followed at the home of the bride's parents for members of the family and intimate friends. Christmas house guests of the DeAcres, for the wedding, included Mrs. J. H. DeAcres and W. K. Thompson of Dallas, Tex., and Russell Shreeves of Vinton, Ia.
Mrs. Fisher is a graduate of the Girls Latin School in Chicago and the University of California and a member of Delta Gamma. Mr. Fisher was graduated from the University of California.
