H. H. Deering Is Retired by N. P. Railroad

Retirement of Harry Houston Deering from the employ of the Northern Pacific, which he served as an engineer since 1903, was announced by N. P. officials Saturday. He is leaving the service under the regular retirement plan operated for all employes, which provided for this upon completion of 40 years' service

Although he retires as an engineer, Mr. Deering has, since 1928, been in St. Paul, where he has served as general chairman of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, a post to which he was elected on March 14 of that year. In this office he served all engineers, who are members of the organization for the entire Northern Pacific system.
