Smith-Dilley

Miss Ethel Gladys Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Smith, 1412 State, and Mrs. Charles Guy Dilley, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. I. Dilley, of Missouri, were married Monday evening at 9:30 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents. Rev. W. P. Wharton, pastor of the First Methodist church, read the marriage service. Miss Thelma Roam and Miss Jessie Smith were bridesmaids.

The bride's dress was of white georgette and lace, and she wore a corsage of pink and white carnations.

Mrs. Dilley has been employed for four years in the Western Lithograph printshop in Wichita. Mr. Dilley worked for the Cudahy packing house in Wichita. Mr. and Mrs. Dilley will live in Emporia.

FORMER WICHITAN DIES

Mrs. Charles Guy (Ethel) Dilley, 43, Temple City, Cal., former Wichitan, died last night at 9:05, according to word received here today. She had been ill for the past two years.

Born at Emporia, Mrs. Dilley resided in Wichita for about 20 years. For more than 14 years her husband was connected with the S. G. Kress company here. He is with the company at Temple City. The Dilleys left here about three years ago for California.

Survivors include husband, mother, Della Smith, California; two children, Tom and Ila Sue of the home; a son, Guy Dilley, 1417 Pike; and two sisters, Almeda Phillips and Mrs. John Watson, of California.

Funeral services and burial will be held at Temple City.

Dies In California

Mrs. Ethel G. Smith Dilley, former Wichitan, died May 28 in Temple City, Cal. Mrs. Dilley had been ill for many years. She attended Wichita schools and was employed at the Western Lithograph company for many years. She also worked at the Inland Printing company.

Surviving are her husband; two sons, Guy Dilley, Wichita, and Thomas Dilley, of the home; her mother, Mrs. Delia Smith, of the home; two sisters, Mrs. Dessie Wathen, Ontario, Cal., and Mrs. ALmeda Lenord, Los Angeles, and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 1 o'clock Saturday at Forest Lawn, Glendale, Cal.
