He married MARTHA LEE TOBIE on January 25, 1941 in Westminster Congregational Church, Spokane, Spokane, Washington,^{6997, 6624} daughter of HAROLD WILLIAM TOBIE. She was born July 15, 1917 in Portland, Multnomah, Oregon,⁴⁵³² and died May 2, 1997 in Los Angeles County, California.²⁵⁰

TOBIE-DODDS RITES TONIGHT

Daffodils and acacia will make a springtime background for the wedding this evening of Miss Martha Lee Tobie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Tobie of Orchard Avenue, to Robert Hutchinson Dodds, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorne A. Dodds, N2524 Elm. The Rev. Joel Harper will conduct the 7 o'clock candlelight service at Westminster Congregational church.

The bride, who will be unattended, will wear a princess gown of royal blue velvet. She will carry pink rose buds and acacia. Miss Norma Huff will play wedding music and Stanley Smith will be soloist.

Following the ceremony, a reception will be held in the church parlors, decorated similarly to the church. The young couple will make their home here, where the bridegroom is with Riggs Optical company.

Miss Tobie was honored Wednesday evening at a kitchen shower by Mrs. Paul Boberg at her home, N3202 Milton.
