OBITUARY

Memorial services were held for E.B. (Bill) Edwards on Friday, November 2 at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Bill was born in Mollalo, Oregon on August 19, 1913 and passed away in St. John's Hospital in Vanderhoof on October 25, 1990.

When he was four-years-old, Bill and his family moved to Phillipsburg, Montana where he resided until moving to Vanderhoof.

He was raised on a ranch and for several years prior to moving to Vanderhoof, he was engaged in logging as well as ranching.

Bill and his wife and children moved to Vanderhoof in April 1952 and settled at the South West end of Nulki Lake on Cork Screw Creek.

For the next 17 years, Bill raised cattle and operated a saw mill. Early in the spring of 1969, he retired from ranching and was the first rancher from the Vanderhoof area to haul cattle over the Yellow Head Hiway to Edmonton.

After he quit ranching, Bill worked as a welder for several years until ill health forced him into complete retirement.

He is survived by his wife Wanda of Vanderhoof, two daughters, Mrs. Betty Frieberg, Helena, Montana; Susan Edwards, Vanderhoof; three sons, Mickey Edwards, Sointula, B.C.; Joe Edwards, Whitehorse, Yukon; Clark Edwards, Vanderhoof and 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
