Wedding Vows Are Taken in City by Laila Ulvila

Attractive in a blue suit of lightweight wool worn with hat to match, Miss Laila Ulvila of Redwood Valley took the wedding vows Saturday, August 1, that changed her name to Mrs. John I. Ellefson. Her bridal costume was smartly completed with a shoulder corsage of white begonias and with modish bag and shoes of alligator in on of the new wine tones.

The wedding was quietly solemnized at 7 o'clock Saturday evening in the First Finnish Evangelical Lutheran church in San Francisco by Major James C. Peterson, chaplain of the United States Army.

Attendants were Miss Verna Talso of Redwood Valley who resides in San Francisco and Dan Fletcher of Lakeland, Florida, a fellow radioman of the bridegroom in the United States Navy. Guests were the bride's sister, Mrs Norman Furman of Ukiah, and Mrs. Peterson, wife of the chaplain.

The bride, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Ulvila of Redwood Valley, was born and reared there. Her husband, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Ellefson, is from Oak Grove, Oregon. He is in the United States Navy and at present is studying at the Radio Material School on Treasure Island.

Because of the indefiniteness of Mr. Ellefson's orders, no plans for the future have been made by the newlyweds.
