Laurance R. Jr., age 76, of Mtka., formerly of Wayzata, Harnel & Bonita Springs, FL. Born 5/6/22, died 9/15/98. Preceded in death by parents, Laurance Sr. & Virginia Kaye, brother, Phillip. Survived by wife, Ruth Anna Olson Elwell; children, Robert & James of Mpls. & Pamela Libby of Cleve., OH; grandchildren, Robert Jr., Grace, Meredith, Jacqueline, Priscilla & Barry Jr. Active in Boy Scout Troup #33 Westminster Church; graduated Wilson H.S>, St. Paul, MN; served U.S. Army 1943-46 77th Infantry; attended Carlton College and U. Of M; taught G.I. Agriculture; turkey farmer since 1950; active in Wayzata Comm. Church, Scottish Rite, Masonic Order Lodge #205, Zuhrah & Mtka. Shrine, MN Turkey Growers Assoc., Rotary Club of Wayzata. Improved turkey hatching, growing and production. Instituted turkey raising in Columbia, So. America and Russian Turkey Project. He will be sadly missed. Memorial service Friday, Oct. 2nd, 4 PM at the Wayzata Comm. Church, Wayzata Blvd. at Ferndale. Memorials to Am. Heart Assoc. or Diabetes Assoc.
