Bridal wreath and Cybotium ferns formed the setting for the wedding of Miss Virginia Kaye and Mr. Lawrence R. Elwell, son of Mrs. James T. Elwell of Fourteenth avenue, solemnized yesterday afternoon at the home of the bride's mother on Stinson boulevard, St. Paul. THe service was read at 4 o'clock by the Rev. Harry Noble Wilson of Central Presbyterian church in the presence of the immediate relatives.
Mrs. Watson Elwell, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, played a program of nuptial music before and during the service. "The Bridal Chorus" from Lohengrin was used as the processional and Mendelssohn's wedding march s the recessional.
Miss Bernice Kaye, sister of the bride, and little Jane Elwell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alden Elwell, were the only attendants. Miss Kaye wore a rose-colored organdy dress and carried an arm bouquet of pink roses. Little Miss Elwell wore a frock of white organdy. Her flowers were pink sweet peas.
The bride wore a simply fashioned white organdy dress and carried a shower bouquet of bride's roses and lilies of the valley.
After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to 36 guests.
Mr. Elwell and his bride have left on a trip of the Great Lakes.

Services for Laurance Robert Elwell, 72, Anoka, Minn., who died Monday in Pompano Beach, Fla., will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Washburn-McReavy Mortuary, 2905 NE. Johnson St., with burial in Lakewood Cemetery.
Mr. Elwell was a retired president of Anoka Turkey Farm, Inc., and had been farm manager for the Northland Milk and Ice Cream Co.
Survivors include his widow, Virginia; two sons, Laurance Jr., Wayzata, and Philip A., Anoka; two brothers, Edwin S., Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Watson R., Deerfield Beach, Fla., and four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Cook and Mrs. Elizabeth Weigel, both of Minneapolis, Mary Elwell, Duluth, Minn., and Mrs. Ruth Ford, Kansas City., Mo.
