Burrel Engle
Private funeral services will be conducted tomorrow fro Burrel Engle, 40, who died in a hospital here Sunday. He had been in ill health for some years, but death followed an operation for removal of a malignant brain tumor.
Born April 17, 1912, in Pomona, he came to Santa Barbara in 1926 from Reedley. An auto mechanic by trade, he attended La Cumbre Junior High School and Santa Barbara High School.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burrel Guy Engle of Santa Barbara; two children, Geraldine and Burel E. Engle Jr. of Shoshone in Death Valley; a sister, Mrs. Charles L. Strong of Indianapolis, and a brother, George R. Engle of Santa Barbara.
