Pomona Girl Weds Resident of Arcadia

Miss Eva Engle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Engle, 677 N. Currier street, was married to Frank Villanueva of Arcadia in a pretty ceremony read Monday morning at the home of her parents, by Judge U. E. White.

The bride wore a white satin-backed crepe, and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley.

She was attended by her sister, Miss Elizabeth Engle, who wore a gown of blue satin-backed crepe.

Jay Rochester was best man.

The home was beautifully decorated in summer flowers, with a color motif of orange and white.

Following the ceremony, a wedding breakfast was served.

Mr. and Mrs. Villanueva left for a honeymoon trip to Catalina Island. They were accompanied by Miss Engle and Mr. Rochester. On their return they will make their home in Arcadia.

Mrs. Villanueva received her education in Pomona, having been graduated from Emerson junior high school. Mr. Villanueva attended a professional college in Los Angeles. He is now employed as assistant manager at the Pioneer nurseries in Monrovia.

On Saturday evening the bride was honored at a miscellaneous shower given at the home of her parents. She chose this occasion to announce the date of her marriage.

An orchestra from Los Angels furnished music during the evening. Decorations for the affair were carried out in orange and white.

Contrarres and family, Mr. and Mrs. Romaro and family, all of Monrovia; Mrs. Sheine and son of Pomona; Mr. and Mrs. Quaerr of Arcadia; Mr. and Mrs. Theo Garcia and family of Pomona; M. L.
