L. G. Wilson, 78, a former Great Bend resident, died Wednesday morning in Cheyenne Wells, Colo., following a lengthy illness. He was born on Nov. 24. 1894 in Great Bend and attended the schools in Great Bend. As a young man he worked as a carpenter with father, O. R. Wilson, and was employed as a farm laborer for many local people.
He was married to Wilda Frazer in1930 in Great Bend; she preceded him in death in 1971.
They moved to the Copeland-Montezuma area shortly after they were married and have resided in Cheyenne Wells since 1940 where he had farming interests.
He was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Christian Church, Cheyenne Wells, Colo.
Among his survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Katie Bishop, Great Bend; and Mrs. May Dodd, Oswego; and two nieces, Mrs. Elmer Ater of Albert and Mrs. Wayne Kramer of Great Bend.
Funeral services will be Saturday with the Brentlinger Funeral Home, Cheyenne Wells, in charge of arrangements. A memorial has been established and friends wishing to contribute may contact the funeral home in Cheyenne Wells, Colo.
