ALBANY—Miss Dolores Stephenson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Byron Stephenson, Albany, and Fred A. Frehner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Emil Frehner, Monticello, were married Saturday at 2 p. m. at the Zwingli Reformed church, Monticello. The double ring ceremony was read by the Rev. A. R. Achtemueler before an altar decorated with candelabra and pink, yellow, and white snapdragons.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a white satin gown made with a sheer yoke ending in a pearl-trimmed bertha, long pointed sleeves, and a train. AN orange blossom crown held her net veil, which was trimmed with small orange blossoms, and she carried pink roses.
Miss Marlan Karlen was the maid of honor, wearing a similar floor-length gown of rose satin with a matching sweetheart hat headdress and mitts. She carried pink-edged white carnations.
Identical blue satin gowns with matching hats were worn by the bridesmaids, Misses Clara Frehner, cousin of the bridegroom, and Joanne Stephenson, sister of the bride. Their bouquets were of yellow carnations.
As her cousin's flower girl, Sandra Kay Swenson was dressed in white brocaded satin with a matching sweetheart hat and carried a colonial bouquet of pink flowers. James Frehner, nephew of the bridegroom, was the ring bearer and carried the rings on a lace-trimmed heart-shaped white satin pillow.
Laurence Karlen was the best man and the ushers were Douglas Stephenson, brother of bride, and John Frehner, cousin of the bridegroom.
The bride's mother chose a taupe-colored street-length dress and the bridegroom's mother a grey flowered dress. Both had pink carnation corsages.
The couple received 250 guests in the parish house after the ceremony. Three cousins of the bride, Misses Patsy Wilson, Darlene Hanson, and Mary Anderson, and Marjorie Hefty, and Mary Ann Oberhalzer, a pupil of the bride, served.
The couple left on a trip to the south and will return March 1 to reside in Hallandale, where the bridegroom will manage the Star Galley Cheese factory. Mrs. Frehner, a graduate of Green County Normal school, is a teacher at the Smiley school near Albany.
