Former Capital City Girl To Be Married In St. Louis

Intimate friends here of Miss Mabel Blair, daughter of Judge and Mrs. David Blair, former well-known residents of Jeffeson City now liv-[sic]

The announcement is of interest ceived snnouncements of her approaching marriage to George Gans of St. Louis.[sic]

The small and informal wedding will be performed on Friday evening, August 5th, at 8:30 o'clock in the home of the bride's parents.

This announcement is of interest to Jefferson City residents, on account of the popularity of Miss Blair during her residence here. She was prominent in social circles and was a member of the G.A. L. Club. Miss Blair attended the University of Missouri where she was a member of the Pi Beta Phi social sorority.

Dessert Bridge Honors Mrs. George Gans

Mrs. Paul Cameron entertained Friday evening with a dessert party at her home on Marshall street, complimenting Mrs. George Gans of Springfield. Mrs. Gans, the former Miss Mable Blair, daughter of Judge and Mrs. David E. Blair, spent several days here at the Cameron home. Her husband, a Commander in the U S Navy, is now in the Marianas.

An arrangement of spring flowers centered the table for the dessert course following which bridge was played with score favors going to Miss Elsa Happy, Miss Mary B. Jones and Mrs. L. E. Woodman and a guest prize to Mrs. Gans.
