Popular Paso Robles Couple Wed at Pretty Home Ceremony

BY MARGARET GRAY MERRIFIELD.

A beautiful home wedding was solemnized Thursday evening at Lyle Heights, the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. Mary Lyle, uniting Doris Lyle and Walter Goff.

The rooms were lavishly decorated in roses, shasta daisies, larkspur, ferns and vines. A panel of ferns and roses from floor to ceiling formed a lovely background for the wedding party as they stood in semi-circle before the officiating pastor, Rev. Vincent Jones, D. D.

Miss Charlotte Cole at the piano, and her brother, Robert, on the clarinet, played the wedding marches, and as the first strains swelled into the spacious rooms, the procession entered. The two little flower girls, Beverly and Barbara Lyle, nieces of the bride, were dressed in beige organdie and carrying sweet peas. Mrs. Henry Lyle, in orchid and pink, was matron of honor.

The bride wore a floor-length, formal gown of biege lace and georgette and carried a shower bouquet of orchids and lillies of the valley.

A buffet supper was served following the ceremony, after which the bride changed into a going-away ensemble of blue serge. The couple left for Los Angeles where they will spend a week with Mrs. Goff, senior. Upon their return they will make their home in the new apartments on North Spring street.

Mrs. Goff is the youngest daughter of the late John Lyle and Mrs. Mary Lyle, who came from Minneapolis to Paso Robles several years since. Her borthers, Henry and DeWitt Lyle are prominent young business men of the city.

Walter Goff is state game officer and has made many friends in his short residence in Paso Robles.

Numerous beautiful wedding gifts attest the popularity of the young couple and the good wishes which accompany them upon their new life.

A pre-nuptial dinner was given the wedding party Wednesday evening by the mother of the bride at the family home, Lyle Heights.
