The residence of D. R. Wagner, No. 1608 Eighth avenue south, was the scene yesterday afternoon of a joyous wedding event. The bride was Miss Mary C. Wagner, and the groom J. H. Lyle, book-keeper for the Sidle-Fletches-Holmes Co., Dr. R. F. Sample performing the ceremony in the presence of a limited number of the friends and relatives of the two families. Miss Fannie and Alfred Wagner acted as attendants. The bride wore a beautiful pearl white silk with orange blossoms, and her attendant was dressed in delicate pink silk with lace and rosebuds. After the ceremony a reception was given, and at 8 o'clock the youg couple left on a southern wedding trip. Their future home will be at No. 1813 Chicago avenue.

Pawnbroker Inspector Price recovered the hand-painted china stolen from J. H. Lyle, 1805 Chicago avenue, last Saturday night. The ware was found in a pawnshop, where it had been sold for $3.50. The china is valued at $25.

Lyle of the University of Keuka, New York, has arrived for the summer, and Mr. and Mrs. Wagner Lyle and children from Los Angeles are here for a lengthy vacation.

Mrs. John Lyle and daughter, Dr. Marie Lyle, are at present in Italy. They were in Rome at Easter time. After a few weeks in Paris, they will go to England for the summer, where Dr. Marie will take some special courses in medical study.

PASO ROBLES, Dec. 15.—John Henry Lyle, aged 70 years and a native of Richmond, Indiana, passed away at his home near Paso Robles early Sunday morning following a long illness.
Mr. Lyle came west four years ago to retire and during this time he made many friends who will mourn his passing. Mr. Lyle is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Lyle, three sons, Dewitt and Henry of Paso Robles and Wagner of Los Angeles, three daughters, Marie Lyle of New York, Doris Lyle of Paso Robles and Mrs. Frances Ashley of Minneapolis, and a niece, Mrs. Absher of Oregon.
Funeral services will be held at the Kuehl Funeral Home Tuesday at 2 p. m. with Rev. Vincent Jones of the Congregational church officiating. Interment will be made in the family plot in the Paso Robles I. O. O. F. cemetery.

PASO ROBLES, Mar. 10.—Mary Wagner Lyle, 69, beloved Paso Robles woman, passed away suddenly at her home here Friday morning following a brief illness.
A native of Detroit, Mrs. Lyle came with her husband, the late John Henry Lyle, to Paso Robles 10 years ago and the couple built one of the city's most beautiful homes on Lyle Heights.
Mr. Lyle passed away in 1930.
Surviving Mrs. Lyle are the following children, all well known and highly respected in their various communities: DeWitt and Henry Lyle who operate the stage office and Lyle Brothers restaurant in Paso Robles; Dr. Marie Lyle of New York; Wagner S. Lyle of Los Angeles; Mrs. Clifford Ashley of Minneapolis, and Mrs. Walter Goff, wife of the game warden, of Paso Robles.
Two brothers, Charles D. and Roy H. Wagner of Minneapolis and nine grand children also survive.
Mrs. Lyle was an active member in the Congregational church here and also in the Plymouth Cirlce and her death will be mourned by scores of sincere friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the Kuehl Funeral home with Rev. Vincent Jones of the Congregational chruch officiating. Interment will be in the family plot in the Paso Robles cemetery.
