Gus Graham, who coached the Cedar Falls high school foot ball team, was presented with a gold watch, chain and charm by the members of the team. The charm was the representation of a foot ball. This was the first year for the team which never lost a game during the entire season. Two lively contests were held with Waterloo, Cedar Falls coming out the victor each time. The last game was played on a field of mud on Thanksgiving day. Mr. Graham was with the Grinnell team last year.

Gus Graham, a target for Hugh Pritchard's revolver in Des Moines, was formerly a resident of Cedar Falls, but now is an attorney at Des Moines. Mr. Graham was a factor in securing a divorce and heavy alimony for Pritchard's wife. The bullet missed Graham.

Among those receiving commissions at the second training camp at Fort Snelling this week appears the name of Augustus Graham, son of the late Major W. R. Graham of Cedar Falls. Gus, as he is known here where he lived for many years, was commissioned first lieutenant and assigned to immediate duty in the national army. He is a brother of Major W. A. Graham, judge advocate of the 88th division of the national army at Camp Dodge. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan, a former football star. A giant in stature, he has been for many years known as "Heavy," a nickname given him when a student in the Cedar Falls high school.

DES MOINES (AP)—Augustus Graham, 78, once a widely known football official in the Midwest, died Wednesday at Veterans hospital here.
Graham had been ill here and in California during most of the last 15 years.
He attended Grinnell college before going to the University of Michigan where he was graduated from the law school. He formerly practiced law here and had officiated at football games for many years.
