Harold C. Guy Dies Of Attack While Fishing

Harold C. Guy, 53, died from a heart attack suffered while he was sport fishing on the Columbia reiver Tuesday.

A private memorial service will be held at the Rainier Haakinson mortuary Friday evening, with Rev. Leland C. Maxfield officiating.

The family requests that no flowers be sent.

The body was taken to the Portland Crematorium, Wednesday and the ashes interred in the Willamette National cemetery, Portland.

Born May 17, 1917, at Casper, Wyoming, the deceased moved to Rainier in 1936. He first worked for Smith Tug & Barge, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and since had work as a Longshoreman. He was a member of the ILWU.

On May 22, 1946, he married Jenness Elbon of Rainier, who survives. Also there are two daughters, Carolyn Johnson of Woodland, Calif., and Debbie Rarev of Longview; two granddaughters, and a brother, Robert of Tacoma.
