He married BILLIE JEAN BACKEBERG on January 5, 1947 in Pierce County, Washington.12127 She was born July 4, 1925 in Oregon,988 and died June 11, 1991 in Puyallup, Pierce, Washington.988 She is buried in Fir Lane Memorial Park, Spanaway, Pierce, Washington.456

Billie Jean Guy

Billie Jean Guy, 65, born July 4, 1925, a lifetime Tacoma area resident, died June 11, 1991. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School and worked as a bookkeeper/accountant for 40 years retiring in 1988. She was an active member of "The Women In Construction", gardening, fishing and camping were among her loves.

Survivors include: beloved husband of 44 years, Robert, of the home; sons, Dan and wife, Judy Guy, Hoquiam, Mike and wife Shirley Guy, Tacoma; sister, Bunny Johnson, Junction City, Oregon; grandchildren, Danette, Chelsea, Wendy, Angela and Donald; great-grandson, Ryan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorials to the American Cancer Society in Billie's name. A gathering of family and friends, 1-3 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at the home of Mike Guy, 13416 Vickery Ave. E., Tacoma.

Robert "Bob" E. Guy

Bob Guy, 90 of Tacoma, passed away on April 18, 2010. He was born March 16, 1920 to Harry and Burchell Guy in Casper, WY.

He is survived by sons Michael Guy (Shirley), and Danny Guy (Judy); grandchildren, Wendy, Danette, Donald, Angie (Brett) and Chelsea (Tim); great grandchildren: Ryan, Rylee, Kevin and Samantha, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His wife Billie preceded him in death in 1991.

He served in the U.S. Navy and loved to clam dig with Billie, and to hunt and fish especially with Johnny Zenker which he did for half a century, be involved with his sons in Boy Scouts and was a Scout Master, and coached Little League Baseball as well as taking many trips with his sons to duck hunt at Moses Lake. Bob was a Life Member of Tacoma Sportsmen's Club, Tacoma Retriever Club and a Volunteer for Celebrate Seniority with Good Samaritan Hospital.

A private family graveside service was held. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to thank St. Joseph Dialysis Center in Puyallup and staff at Good Sam on the day of his passing.
