Alice Field Hale, Boro Librarian

Funeral services for Alice Field Hale, assistant librarian at South Branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, 4th Ave. and 51st St., will be held at 7:30 o'clock tonight at the Clavin Funeral Home, 7722 4th Ave. The Rev. Theodore H. Winkert, rector of St. John's Protestant Episcopal Church, Fort Hamilton Parkway and 99th St., will officiate.

Miss Hale, who lived at 128 Marine Ave., died suddenly Wednesday. She was born in Brooklyn, the daughter of the late Edward Warren Hale, former U. S. Deputy Assistant Treasurer, and the late Mrs. Minna Field Hale. Her maternal grandfather, Thomas W. Field, was former superintendent of education in the old City of Brooklyn.

Miss Hale was a graduate of Girls High School. She had been in the public library system for 25 years.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Scott Button of Englewood, N. J., and a niece, Cynthia Button of Schenectady, N. Y.
