Cards have been received in the two cities and at Old Orchard announcing the wedding of F. Glenn Harmon, oldest son of ex-Postmaster and Mrs. William G. Harmon of Old Orchard to Mrs. Anna B. Akely, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George A. Tilton of Skowhegan, which was solemnized at the home of the bride's parents in Waterville on last Tuesday morning by the Rev. Charles Harvie McElhiney of Madison. W. Warren Harmon, well known real estate dealer of Old Orchard, a brother of the groom acted as bestman while the bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Grace Smith of Skowhegan.
Following a short honeymoon to Boston and New York the couple will take up their residence for the summer and next fall will got to Portland to live.
Mr. Harmon is widely known locally as a brilliant musician and electrical contractor.
Mrs. Harmon at one time conducted hair dressing parlors in Portland.

The marriage of Ella P. Bowden of Old Orchard and Francis Glenn Harmon of Bath took place on Thursday at Providence.
The announcement will come as a surprise to the many friends of Miss Bowden who were not in the secret. The young couple are both very musical and it was in a musical way that they first became interested in each other. Miss Bowden is very popular with all who know her while Mr. Harmon is one of the estimable of young men. He has the position as leader and manager of the Columbia orchestra at the Columbia theater in Bath,and also has his studio for teaching the violin in the same city. The young couple started for New York city immediately after the ceremony but will reside in Bath upon their return .THey have many friends who wish them much joy in their newly married life. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Edward Sweetland, pastor of St. Stephens church of Providence. The groom is a young man who is well known, and is highly respected in Biddeford and Saco and at Old Orchard. He was born in this city but had made his home for many years at the beach before going to Bath. He is the son of William G. Harmon, who is a member of the firm of Davis & Harmon, real estate dealers of Old Orchard and who also have an auction room in this city.
The bride is well known in the two cities, having appeared as a soloist in local churches at different times.

Mrs. Anna B. Akeley was married on Tuesday to F. Glenn Harmon of Old Orchard at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Tilton. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Charles H. McElhiney of Madison, formerly pastor of the Skowhegan Island Avenue Congregational church. The couple was attended by the bride's sister, Mrs. Grace Smith and the groom's brother, W. W. Harmon of Old Orchard.
The bride's gown was white canton silk crepe and she carried a beautiful bridal bouquet. The bridesmaid wore maize canton crepe and also carried flowers. Following the ceremony a delicious wedding breakfast was served by the bride's mother, Mrs. Tilton. Mr. and Mrs. Harmon are to pass their honeymoon in Boston, making the trip by automobile. They will pass the summer at Old Orchard, where Mr. Harmon, who is an electrical contractor, is employed.
Those present attending the ceremony from out of town were the groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Harmon and another brother, Clifton Harmon of Old Orchard, Mr. and Mrs. John Gallagher and Mrs. Everett A. Small of Boston.

GRAY — F. Glen Harmon, 77, of Gray, a retired electrical worker, died Thursday night in a Portland hospital after a long illness.
He was born June 4, 1882 at St. Johnsbury, Vt., son of William and Adele Hovey Harmon. The family moved to Old Orchard Beach when Mr. Harmon was a child and he attended schools there. He was graduated from a Boston electrical school.
He worked in the Greater Portland area for many years and for three years was employed at the Oak Ridge, Tenn., atomic plant. He retired seven years ago because of ill health.
He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Besides his widow, the former Hazel D. Grass, he is survived by a son, William G. Harmon, Quincy, Ill.; a stepson, Grant C. Grass, Cumberland; two daughters, Mrs. Wesley V. Twigg, South Portland, and Mrs. Newton G. Leary, Portland; 12 grandchildren; two brothers, Warren G. Harmon and Clifton H. Harmon, both of Old Orchard Beach; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at 749 Congress St., Portland. Interment will be in Forest City Cemetery, South Portland.

SOUTH PORTLAND — Mrs. Hazel G. Harmon, 66, of 1150 Broadway, died in a Portland hospital Monday after a brief illness.
She was the widow of F. Glen Harmon, who died in 1959.
She was born April 20, 1898, in Thomaston, the daughter of Charles and Edith Getchell Demmons. She attended Rockland schools and lived in Old Orchard Beach for 20 years before coming here five years ago. She was a member of Ivy Rebekkah Lodge.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Florine Twigg, South Portland, and Mrs. Edith Leary, Portland; a son, Grant Grass, Cumberland Center; a stepson, William Harmon, Quincy, Ill.; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dunstan, Scarborough, funeral home. Interment will be in Forest City Cemetery.
