LOGAN—Elmo Allan Hatcher, 77, of Mitchell Heights, Logan County, died Thursday in Logan General Hospital.
He was native of Bedford, Va., and was a retired coal operator for Superior Island Creek Coal Co.
Surviving: wife, Ennes Bower Hatcher; daughter, Mrs. Ray Hansen of Newport News, Va.; sons, E. A. Jr. and John D., both of Mitchell Heights, Logan; sisters, Mrs. Katie Butler of Bluefield, Mrs. Rocky Sexton of Welch.
Graveside service will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Oakwood Cemetery, Bedford, Va.
The body is at Honaker-Harris Funeral Home, Logan.

HATCHER, Ennes Bower, 94, of Logan, W. Va., and formerly of Bedford, died Wednesday, March 31, 1993, in Logan General Hospital. She was born in Bedford on October 19, 1898, a daughter of the late John Bower and Sarah Mitchell Bower. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmo Allen Hatcher Sr.; two sons, Elmo A. "Bo" Hatcher Jr., John David Hatcher, a daughter, Althea H. Hansen, and a grandson, J. D. Hatcher Jr. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Ann Hatcher, Logan W. Va.; eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted at the graveside in Greenwood Cemetery, Saturday, April 3, 1993 at 3 p.m. with Dr. Richard N. Boyce officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the Bedford Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
