Will and Probate for Andrew H. Heron

Greene County, Ohio, September 13, 187312762

I, Andrew Heron of the County of Greene and State of Ohio being of sound mind & memory, but debilitated in the bodily frame, & mindful of the uncertainty of human life, do hereby make my last will and testament (revoking all former testaments) in manner and form following, viz:

1. It is my wish that all funeral expenses, physicians bills, or other just debts, shall be promtply paid out of any monies in hand, or that may be due to me at the time of my decease.

2. I give and bequeath to my mife Martha to her & to her heirs forever, in fee simple, all my property in the Village of Cedarville, O. viz. my dwelling house with all its appurtenances, and all my household furniture, at the time of my decease, with the exception of my library.

3. I give & bequeath to my only son, John M. Heron, to him & to his heirs forever, all monies due to me by bond or otherwise, to compensate for my note which he holds for on thousand dollars ($1000) with the reservation of one hundred & twenty five dollars ($125) being one third of a note held by me on James Henry Irvin for three hundred and seventy five dollars (#375).

4. I give & bequeath to James Henry Irvin to him & to his heirs forever, the above sum of one hundred and twenty five dollars ($125) being the third part of the above mentioned note.

5. I bequeath to my said son John M. Heron, my library.

6. I also give & bequeath to my son John M. Heron any other property not herein specified of which I may die possessed.

7. And I hereby appoint my aforesaid son, John M. Heron, sole executor of this my last Will & Testament. In testimony of the above i hereinto affix my signature this 3rd day of January 1871.
