The announcement of the marriage of George E. Jackson and Jean Horner in Oskaloosa, (Ia.) on the 6th of December was a surprise to most of their friends. The event was not expected as her friends at the invitation of Mrs. F. Q. Jackson held a shower for her a few weeks ago, but all were expecting it to be a big home affair. They have not returned as yet from their wedding trip.

Sigourney.—Mr. and Mrs. George E. Jackson of Shenandoah, arrived in Sigourney Monday evening and are now at the home of Mrs. Jackson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Horner. The Jacksons are former residents of Sigourney and about two years ago they moved to Shenandoah where Mr. Jackson was engaged in the grocery business, which he recently disposed of. They will make their future home in this city.
