Harold V. House, former San Bernardino

Harold Vernon House, 80, of Salbang, formerly of San Bernaradino, died Thursday in Salbang. He was born in Ohio.

House was employed at Norton Air Force Base 23 years, was a member of the Retired Norton Air Force Base Employes Association and the Congregational Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred; a daughter, Martha L. Fouch of Salbang; a sister, Mary Armacost of Eaton, Ohio, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The remains will be forwarded to Mound Hill Cemetery in Eaton for services and burial. Lord's Funeral Chapel is in charge of local arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Congregational Church.

Obituary

Mildred B. House, 93, of Buellton, Calif., died Saturday, Oct. 10, at Santa Maria Care Center in Santa Maria, Calif., after an extended illness.

She was born Sept. 9, 1899, near Eaton, the daughter of Perry Edward and Edna Ellen (Brandenburg) Ervin. She graduated from Jackson High School and was a retired beautician. She had lived in Buellton, Calif., for the past 16 years, and prior to that, had lived in San Bernardino, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Vernon House; one son, Robert E. House; one brother, Lyell Ervin; and three sisters, Mae Borradaile, Louise Brown and Pauline Wolfe.

Survivors include one daughter, Martha Fouch of Buellton, Calif.; one sister, Lora Benham of Richmond, Ind.; five grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services were Monday, Oct. 19, at Mound Hill Union Cemetery, Eaton. Barnes Funeral Home-Eaton Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
