Charles A. Houston, 79, of Arizona, formerly Anaheim, a retired sales executive, died Dec.24. Arrangements by Evergreen Mortuary, Tuscon, Arizona.

Survived by his wife, Colleen; sons, Richard, of Redondo Beach; stepson, Dennis Douglass of Newbury Park; stepdaughter, Doreen Stevens of El Dorado Hills; sister, Gladys Lashbrook of Seal Beach; and three grandchildren.

Colleen Marie Houston

Colleen Marie Houston died Jan. 9 in Folsom.

Colleen was born Feb. 7, 1931 in Kingman, Ariz. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Houston.

She was the beloved mother of Doreen M. Stevens of El Dorado Hills and Dennis L. Douglass of Rescue. Colleen is also survived by her mother, Helen Hatfield of Henderson, Nev.; her brother Dennis Cullen of Henderson, Nev.; and her sister, Maureen McClung of Boise, Idaho. Colleen was also survived by her grandsons, Brian and Michael Johnston of El Dorado Hills.

According to all who knew her, Colleen was perhaps known best for her kind spirit, warm smile and endless generosity. She was a true believe in "The Spirit O the Green" and a devoted daughter of the Shamrock.

"May the road rise up to meet you and the wind be always at your back and may the good Lord hold you in the hollow of His hand."
