Choosing the ideal place for a wedding ceremony in California, especially in the month of June, Miss Eva Huston became the bride of Lee C. Angus of Ponca City, Okla., last evening, the service being said in an outdoors bridal bower at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Huston at 1999 Arrowhead avenue.
A group of ten interested people, the family and intimate friends of the bride witnessed the pretty scene and ring service beneath the wedding arch of palm branches, ferns and flowers, in the late afternoon at 5:30, the reader being Rev. H. B. Mowbray of the First Congregational church.
The bride made a very attractive picture in white Georgette frock and carrying a bouquet of Bride roses tied with long loops of ribbon.
Immediately after the shower of good wishes, a wedding dinner was served, the dining room and table being decorated in the fragrant and dainty sweet peas.
Later the bride and groom left for Los Angeles for a short stay and from there will go to their future home at Ponca City, Okla., where they will make their home, the groom being an employe of the Santa Fe road.
The bride wore away a very smart tailored suit of Sand shade serge, with white voile blouse and hat of chiffon, matching the suit in tone, and brightened with pink roses and blue flowers.
The bride is a graduate of the High school in the class of 1916. For some time she has been with the First National Bank at El Centro, returning her three months ago to prepare her wedding to "an old sweetheart." The bride and groom went to school together in Oklahoma, before the Huston family came to San Bernardino six years ago. The groom came out from Ponca City a week ago.
The bride is a member of the Congregational church and of the Philatea class, and has many warm friends who wish that she may find much happiness in her new life and return to her former home state.
