Rural, Ill., Dec. 27.—(Argus News Service)—Miss Lois Beck, daughter of Walter D. Beck of Rural township, was married to Richard Huston, son of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Huston of Orion, in the parsonage of the First Baptist church in Maquoketa, Iowa, Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
The ceremony was performed by the pastor, the Rev. Harry N. Throckmorton. The bride wore a royal blue velvet gown with gold trim. Dinner was served at the Merlon cafe.
Mrs. Huston has always resided in Rural and is a graduate of the Sherrard high school and the Busselle School of Cosmetology in Davenport. She has been operating a beauty shop in Orion the past year and will continue to do so.
Mr. Huston received his education in the Orion schools and is a member of the Illinois national guards, Battery C, 123rd field artillery. He expects to be called for active service about Jan. 10. For the present the bridal couple will reside with the bridegroom's parents in Orion.

Mrs. Margaret Phelps, East Moline, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Farrell, Prophetstown, was united in marriage to Richard Huston, East Moline, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Huston, Orion, at a double-ring ceremony performed at 12:30 o'clock this afternoon in First Methodist church, East Moline. The Rev. A. J. Copeland officiated.
The couple was unattended.
The bride wore a brown wool gabardine suit with matching accessories. Her corsage was of red roses. Several out-of-town relatives and friends witnessed the ceremony.
The bride is employed at Eagle Super-market, East Moline.
The bridegroom is employed at the A. & P. Auto Sales, East Moline.
Upon their return from a short wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Huston will reside at 535 Seventeenth avenue, East Moline.

Richard K. Huston, 92, East Moline, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, at Genesis Medical Center, Illini Campus, Silvis.
Services will be noon Saturday at Christ United Methodist Church, 3801 7th St., East Moline. Visitation will be tow hours prior to service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Schroder Mortuary, Silvis, is assisting the family with arrangements.
He was born Oct. 31, 1917, in Orion, to George and Clara Danielson Huston. He married Margaret Ella Farrell on Nov. 14, 1947, in East Moline.
He served in the merchant marines during World War II.
He retired from International Harvester, East Moline in 1980, after 33 years. He was a member of East Moline Legion No. 227 and enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Margaret, East Moline; son, Dennis (Marcia) Huston, East Moline; four grandchildren, Eric VanValkenburg, Broomfield, Colo., Krista (Jay) Rockerman, Broomfield, Beverly (Daniel) Armstrong, Hampton, Marlena (Nicholas) Urbain, Eldridge; five great0grandchildren, with a sixth one due in May. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra VanValkenburg.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Christ United Methodist Church, East Moline. Burial is at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Schroder Mortuary, Silvis. Memorials may be made to the church or the American Heart Association.
She was born Jan. 10, 1920, in Prophetstown, to Clarence and Corda Stewart Farrell. She married Richard K. Huston Nov. 14, 1947, in East Moline.
She was a member of the United Methodist Women's group at Christ United Methodist Church. She also enjoyed reading and listening to the radio.
Survivors include her son, Dennis (Marcia) Huston, East Moline; grandchildren, Eric VanValkenburg, Broomfield, Colo., Krista (Jay) Rockeman, Broomfield, Colo., Beverly (Daniel) Armstrong, Hampton, and Marlena (Nicholas) Urbain, Eldridge; great-grandchildren, Jordan, mcKenna, Jack, Gianna, Ava, Elijah; brothers, Wayne, Farrell, Morrison.
