Funeral at Orion For G. A. Huston To Be Tomorrow

ORION—George Albert Huston, 73, died at 3 yesterday afternoon at his home here. He had been in ill health for two years.

The funeral will be held at 2 Wednesday afternoon at the Anderson and Swanson funeral home, with the Rev. Ross Pace of the Baptist church officiating. Burial will be in Western cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight.

Pallbearers will be Melvin and Alvin Derrickson, Gunnard Liligren, C. Ed Johnson, L. D. Porter and Joseph Sundeen. Mrs. John A. Larson will play.

Mr. Huston was born May 8, 1876, in Western township, son of John and Mary Huston, and spent all his life here. At one time he worked at the livery barn here. He was a retired railway laborer, and later was janitor in the Western township library and the State bank.

He married Clara Daniels Sept. 25, 1912, in Rock Island. Surviving are the widow; a son, Richard of Moline; a granddaughter, Sandra, and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents, three brothers and two sisters.

MRS. CLARA HUSTON

Mrs. Clara W. Huston, 72, of 518 28th Ave., East Moline, died at 11:45 last night in Moline Public Hospital after a short illness.

She was born Dec. 1, 1887, in Galesburg, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Danielson, and attended schools there. She moved to Orion in 1900 and resided there until about two years ago when she moved to East Moline to live with a son, Richard.

Mrs. Huston was married to George Huston in Rock Island Sept. 12, 1912. He preceded her in death in 1949. She was a member of the Orion Baptist Church.

Surviving are the son and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Benson-Kirk Funeral Home, Orion, between 2 and 4 tomorrow afternoon and 7-9 tomorrow night. Services will be at 2 Sunday afternoon with the Rev. John Wanamaker officiating. Burial will be in Western Cemetery, Orion.
