Dear Cousin
Allow me to extend my congratulations to you and your dear wife as your quite soon to have a daughter, whom I trust will fill a large place in your affections. I cannot recollect of Donald is also married. Quite recently Mary & Jessie & Gussie visited me and informed me of your kind wish that we all be remembered with cards announcing the coming event.
We would certainly appreciate the priviledge of witnessing this most beautiful of marriage ceremonies, that of the Episcopalian Church service, for although I have been reared in the Friends Chuch I am strongly inclined towards that church, strange as it may seem. I have been in the Society of Episcopalians so often I certanly wish every blessing to come to the dear young couple, only regret probability of never knowing either of them.
I have forwarded dear Mother's letter to you. I wonder why it is that she overlooked the fact of your long connection with the Century Co. But she is a frail little body nowadays, but no one thinks her over sixty. Everyone admires her & exclaim how pretty she is. She was always favored and petted and in her lonely days now she is inclined to sadness, but if her hearing was better I think it would not be so lonely to her. She cannot follow one's general conversation if others are conversing.
We thank you for remembering us. Mr. MacIntire joins me in our contratulations.
Sincerely,
Cousin Otie J. MacIntire
