John A. Kaufman

HARTFORD CITY, Ind. — John A. Kaufman, 61, 315 E. Grant St., died Wednesday in Ball Hospital, Muncie, after a brief illness.

A native of Wabash, he was a Blackford County resident for the past 10 years. He was a member of Calvary Pentecostal Church. He served in the Army during World War II.

He was employed at Overhead Door Corp. for the past 27 years.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; two sons, Charlie, R.R. i, and Greg, at home; two daughters, Mary Alice (Mrs. Charles) Grayson, R.R. 4, and Vicki (Mrs. Gary) Laurence, Hartford City; two sisters, Helen (Mrs. Jim) Roser and Doris Williams, both of Lehigh Acres, Fla., and four grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Waters Funeral Home, with Rev. Greg Smith officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, north of Muncie.

Calling hours in the funeral homer are 4-9 p.m. today and before services Friday.

HARTFORD CITY — Mary J. Kaufman, 83, died Thursday, December 1, 2005. She was born April 26, 1922 to the late Charles and Hazel Fenner. She married John Kaufman October 26, 1946, he died in 1983.

Survivors include her children, Mary (Charles) Grayson, Vicki (Gary) Laurence, greg Kaufman; sister, Donna (Ray) Dodds; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Charlie; and sisters Virginia and Doris Fenner.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Waters Funeral Home, Hartford City.

Calling from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
