Perry, the little two-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Kaufman suffered a broken arm Friday evening when he fell from a wood pile. He was given medical attention by Dr. Rogers of Somerset.

Rosemarie Kaufman, 85, Wabash, passed away at 1:20 p.m. Monday, Oct. 10, 2005 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
She was born March 24, 1920 in Chicago, Ill. to Louis D. and Dessa (Nicodemus) Herlem. On Jan. 12, 1945 in Peru, she married Perry Kaufman, and he survives.
Kaufman was a 1938 graduate of Peru High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. She also was a 50-year member of the Wabash Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors besides her husband include two sons, Robert P. Kaufman and wife Joyce, Fort Wayne, and Joe L. Kaufman and wife Marcia, Wabash; a daughter, Nancy J. Borgmann, Fort Wayne; four grandsons, Ryan Borgmann, Crystal Lake, Ill., Anthony Kaufman, Indianapolis, Brad Kaufman, Decatur, Ill., and Brent Kaufman, Wabash; three granddaughters, Amy Davis and husband Scott, Chicago, Ill., Jennifer King and husband Craig, and Stephanie Kaufman, all of Fort Wayne; two great-grandsons, Landin King and Noah Stirlen, both of Fort Wayne; and a sister, Rhoda Lee Hostetler, Peru.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard and John Herlem; and a sister, Geraldine Hostetler.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, Wabash, with the Reverend John Cook and Pastor Mike Bullick officiating. Burial will follow at LaFontaine I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Friends may call 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. An Eastern Star service will be held at the funeral home Friday at 7 p.m.
Preferred memorials are to Asbury United Methodist Church.

Perry Kaufman, 90, of rural Wabash, died at 4:48 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010, at Wabash Skilled Care Center. He was born Dec. 29, 1919, in Wabash County, to Homer and Esta Marie (Stambaugh) Kaufman.
Perry married Rosemarie Herlem in Peru, on Jan. 12, 1945; she died Oct. 10, 2005. He was a 1938 graduate of Linlawn High School and was a member of Asbury Country Church in rural Wabash. He was a lifelong farmer, and also worked at General Tire in Wabash from 1938-1955, was a carpenter for Lee Robinson for 17 years and at White's Institute from 1970-1991, and also drove a school bus for the Metropolitan School District 12 years.
He is survived by three children, Robert P. (Joyce) Kaufman of Fort Wayne, Joe L. (Marcia) Kaufman of Wabash, and Nancy J. (Dan McDonald) Borgmann of Fort Wayne; seven grandchildren, Ryan (Amy) Borgmann of Chicago, Anthony (Traci) Kaufman of Indianapolis, Brad (Andrea) Kaufman of Oreana, Ill., Brent Kaufman of Mendota, Amy (Scott) Davis of Chicago, Jennifer (Craig) King of Fort Wayne, Stephanie Kaufman of Bluffton; three great-grandchildren, Landin and Gabriella King of Fort Wayne, and Gretchen Davis of Chicago, a brother, James (Pat) Kaufman of Wabash; two sisters, Helen Roser of Georgia, and Doris Williams of Cleveland, Tenn.; sister-in-law, RhodaLee Hostetler of Peru.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Rosemarie, and his two brothers John and Guy Kaufman.
Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Ave. Wabash on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor John Cook officiating. Burial will be in LaFontaine I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is the Wabash Skilled Care Center.
